Slick Rick Celebrates 60th Birthday With 14th Annual Hip-Hop Party At Brooklyn Bowl

Slick Rick welcomed fans to a legendary night celebrating his 60th birthday. Last Saturday (Jan. 18) the veteran rapper hosted his 14th annual birthday event at the Brooklyn Bowl with DJ Kaos and The Slickettes. Photographer Johnny Nunez captured the affair, which featured special guests and surprises.

Busta Rhymes, Erick Sermon, DJ Premier, and Ralph McDaniels were among the notable attendees of the night. The “Children’s Story” rhymer’s actual birthday is Jan. 14.

“SLICK RICK 60TH BIRTHDAY SOIREE at BROOKLYN BOWL EACH YEAR JUST KEEP GETTING BETTER WHEN MORE CELEBRITY SURPRISES,” exclaimed Nunez on Instagram, sharing a clip from inside the venue.

“Just DJ’d for Slick Rick’s Birthday Party in Brooklyn,” reflected DJ Premier on X after his set ended. “Whatta F**kin Crowd! The energy was iLL. Dana Dane ripped it, Erick Sermon ripped it down!!! Busta Rhymes paid homage and they went crazy. Shout to DJ Kaos. That shit was f**kin fun!!! Salute Mandy!”
