HOUSTON — It’s not the first time and it probably won’t be the last time, but someone has defaced Houston’s iconic “Be Someone” graffiti art.
If you’ve driven downtown on I-45 from the north side, you’ve likely seen the Be Someone piece.
It’s been the topic of many discussions over the years. There was even a petition to have it designated as a city landmark in 2018. More than 16,000 people signed the petition.
The graffiti first appeared in 2012 and has since inspired those who drive under the bridge.
Since then, it has repeatedly been defaced by others — most recently by someone who changed it to “MOSCOIN.”
While it’s unclear exactly what it means, it could refer to cryptocurrency.
