“The goal was to create false idols”: Candace Owens shares her thoughts on gangster rap, claims it was created by the feds

Candace Owens has recently spoken up on the origins of gangsta rap. It refers to a music genre that became popular during the 90s and the lyrics address the violent lifestyle of American cities that have been impacted due to poverty, drug use, and drug healing.

Candace Owens posted a tweet on September 20, 2024, writing that the genre never referred to “black culture.” She then revealed more details and wrote:

“It was created by the Feds, who proferred deals to homosexual black men in prison and then turned them into artificial celebrities. The goal was to create false idols to destroy black American values. I will never change my mind on this.”

On the other hand, the comments section of the tweet was flooded with different responses, with one person claiming that the genre was created by Jews. Similar claims were made by other users with another person calling Owens’ words accurate.

According to Britannica, the genre originally became famous on the East Coast and later became a subject of criticism in places like Houston. However, the popularity expanded to locations such as California and Oakland.

The genre was featured in the album Straight Outta Compton, released by the hip-hop group, N.W.A., also known as N*ggaz Wit Attitudes. It eventually gained prominence with the major projects released by artists such as Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, and Snoop Dogg.

Candace Owens has been in the headlines after being suspended from YouTube

Also known as Candace Amber Owens Farmer, she was recently banned from YouTube for a week after being notified by the platform thrice due to the content shared on her channel. One of them included a conversation with Kanye West and all of these led to the violation of hate speech policies.

“As many of you have seen by now, my debate with Rabbi Shmuley trended worldwide to the tune of 2.5 million views in a matter of 3 days. While have been overwhelmed with gratitude by the positive responses we received, I also knew that my performance would come at a great personal cost. The media does not like losing control of the narrative, and I was taking on radical Zionism.”

She disclosed that people were informed on how to “mass report” her channel by another account called Awesome Jew. She revealed that anyone who had issues with her decided to take the path of “financial terrorism” adding that her channel was demonetized.

Candace Owens called the entire situation a harassment campaign which started in 2023 and continued:

“I feel neither angry or vengeful. In fact, I am grateful to God for using me and this difficult situation to further the global awakening to the rulers of darkness in this world.”

Candace Owens has been trending over the years for being involved in several controversies, including her criticism of Donald Trump and different conspiracy theories.
