BELTON, Texas—The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (UMHB) Arts Academy invites young artists of all ages to join the College of Visual and Performing Arts for a magical night of creativity, family fun, and hands-on artistry as they design the set for the university’s upcoming production of The Little Prince. On Saturday, March 22, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the Sue & Frank Mayborn Performing Arts Center, participants will add their own graffiti-style drawings to the set pieces for the university’s spring musical.
Participants should bring their creativity and imagination. All other supplies will be provided, and no experience is required. Be sure to wear comfortable clothes that can get messy. As part of the event, participants will experience a special sneak peek performance from the cast and a discussion with the stage director.
The UMHB Arts Academy exists to provide quality, innovative arts instruction and experiences for all ages within a Christian environment, teaching skills and techniques that will enhance not only the lives of the students but also the quality of life within the community.
