I love street art. There is something about graffiti that has always had a piece of my heart. It also never ceases to amaze me that someone can quickly spray paint something so artistic in such a short time.
However, I am a firm believer that graffiti belongs far away from nature and the natural beauty of Colorado. Apparently, some people think that they could and should do whatever they want with spray paint and go so far as to vandalize an iconic Colorado location.

The Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office posted a photo on Facebook showing the vandalism that took place this week at Saint Mary’s Glacier in the Arapaho National Forest.

The graffiti that was painted on a rock in red spray paint was a heart with the initials JJ and MG. The Clear Creek Sheriff’s Office had some choice words for the vandals, too.
It’s illegal, it’s selfish, and it’s more permanent than their love likely will be.
The Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office says that the incident is frustrating and there are many other ways to express love; however, spray painting a rock in a national forest is not one of them.
Law enforcement of the Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the individual(s) who committed the vandalism, and if anyone witnessed the act, you are urged to contact the Clear Creek Sheriff’s Office. More information on the incident can be seen below in the Facebook post.
