Why was Hotboii in jail? Real name, age and all about the rapper in wake of his recent release

Javarri Latre Walker, a.k.a. Hotboii, was recently released after serving three years in prison. On Wednesday, September 11, 2024, several social media accounts began reporting on the 24-year-old rapper’s release.

For the unversed, XXL reported that Hotboii first came under the police’s radar back in July 2021 when they arrested him in Orlando, Florida, for violating RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations) laws.

According to the publication, the arrest stemmed from a larger investigation into gang-related activity in Orange County, Fl, dubbed Operation X-Force, with thirty-four others being apprehended and charged, including fellow rapper 9lokkNine. Per the authorities, the effort attempted to thwart the operation of rivals Army Gang and 438 Gang.

The same media outlet also detailed that the Don’t Need Time hitmaker’s bond was set at $750,000. Cops charged him with one count of racketeering and another for conspiracy to commit racketeering, adding that he was a member of the 438 gang.

Hotboii’s bail bond was revoked in June 2022

Following his initial arrest in 2021, Hotboii bonded out and remained free until June 2022. However, an Orange County judge revoked his bond and ordered him back to jail. The rapper took to his Instagram on June 30 to share a video of him forming a prayer circle with several others with the caption:

“Last day out #TurningMyselfInRN”

According to XXL report, he also shared an IG story simply saying, “FREE ME.”

While it remained unclear why the Orlando native’s bond was nullified, an August 2022 article by TMZ Hip-Hop claimed it was in connection with a gun possession case in Miami. The rapper’s attorney Bradford Cohen told the publication that the Miami case was dismissed. Cohen further explained that they hoped the rapper’s bond would be reinstated, but his client remained in custody until recently.

It is to be noted that the rapper’s case is currently pending.
