The World International Hip Hop Dance Champions and Papua New Guinea’s homegrown dance sensations Wan Squad arrived home today August 21 after snatching gold in the world Hip Hop dance championship in Phoenix Arizona USA.
A small but significant welcome ceremony was held at the Jacksons International Airport for families, friends, and fans of the Papua New Guinean dance superstars who made the nation known in the world dance fraternity.
It was a dream come true for the crew (Wan Squad) who spent Six (6) years of preparation, determination, and courage to reach heights, the PNG dance megastars brought the dance glory to the shore that will inspire generations to come in the dancing world.
The Mountain Dew and Indomie-sponsored dance crew came fourth at this event in 2023 and had put in the hard yards in preparation to reach finals this year 2024.
Breaking it off in style on the international dance arena for the fourth time with the same moves but a different approach against the 57 world’s best Hip Hop dancers, claiming the world title was a milestone achievement for the crew.
Crew’s oldest member Loyd Nadile said it was a moment when words can’t express how they felt and acknowledged the support from the sponsors Mountain Dew (Pacific Industry Limited) and Indomie (Super Value Store /SVS) for the sponsorships that helped them a long way.

Their families, friends, and fans at the Jacksons International Airport warmly welcomed the world champions.
