Over the weekend, Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum artist and humanitarian YG and his 4Hunnid Ways Foundation partnered with Believe in Giving (B.I.G) for a back-to-school drive in Inglewood, California. The drive provided essential resources to families in need, helping them prepare for the upcoming school year. Families received food boxes from the LA Mission, backpacks filled with school supplies, clothing from Ethika, and much more. Attendees enjoyed free hotdogs, snow cones, and refreshments.
Guests had the opportunity to enter a raffle giveaway, with several winners taking home prizes such as a new laptop, a gaming chair, and tickets to Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers games. The event successfully distributed over 2,000 backpacks and 2,000 boxes of food to the community.
Partners for the event included Chase, UNDEFEATED, Los Angeles Mission, Ethika, The Office of Mayor Karen Bass, Metro LA, and El Camino College, among others. The crowd was treated to a special performance by Tommy the Clown dance group and enjoyed interactions with exotic reptiles brought by Wildlife People. Several elected officials, including Los Angeles City Attorney Hydee Feldstein Soto and District 9 Council Member Curren D. Price Jr., were also in attendance.
